Sterotypes in a Horror Film
Another stereotype in a horror film is the use of somebody who believes that everything is okay and that nothing will go wrong. This type of character is often a male who is portrayed as overconfident and cocky. This character often tries to convince other characters that everything is okay and therefore is usually first to die. This character often gives us a sense of security and calmness in the story which is quickly taken after their death.
In addition to there being a vulnerable female and a overconfident male, usually there is a hero. The hero is typically a strong masculine character who is brave and shows little emotion. This character often triumphs over the evil within a horror film.
