In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

In our film we try to follow the general horror movie by having a masked, unknown killer character and a weaker subject that is trying to escape from them. Another way that we followed in the footsteps of other horror movies is by filming in day and editing it to night, after a failed attempt at filming in the dark.
We did try and make our film different from the traditional horror movie by having a male lead character instead of a weak female role who doesnt make silly mistakes, but is forced, under pressure by our "killer"
